Genealogy Books

Linking the past with the present
Family History is vitally important. Through various services available to us we are now able to delve into our history archives and discover some very interesting facts about our heritage or lineage.

Not many of us will be approached to appear on 'Who Do You Think You Are?'. But over time stories and photographs will have been passed down through families.

A genealogy book could be a wonderful gift that pieces together like a patchwork quilt and ensures that the person in the family that has all the photographs (in an old shoebox) shares them with everyone else.

Available sizes:

 21cm x 21cm square:

  • 52 page I  60 page

  • 29.7cm x 21cm portrait:

How a genealogy book works?

A telephone consultation would take place to discuss and arrange what elements you would like to include in your book. If original documents are sent they would be scanned and returned to you by registered post.

Once the items are back with you, another telephone conversation would take place to talk about the items to develop the narrative behind the images/documents. A draft copy would be sent to you prior to the book being printed.

Travel LifeBooks

Don't let your holiday experiences be hidden in a social media timeline
With the advent of smart phones we have all become photographers.

It has been reported that the average person has around 7500 images on their smart phone. Many of those will be from the fantastic cruise, adventure holiday, skiing trips, safari, luxury breaks, pilgrimage, road trip, or tailor-made tour.

It's likely that your photographs are not being done justice by being 'pinched and swiped'. Plus, the stories behind the photographs need to be told. A travel book would be the perfect addition to your coffee table or bookshelf. What better way could there be to revive that travel bug for the New Year?

Available sizes:

  • 21cm x 21cm square:
    52 page I  60 page I  72 page I  88 page

  • 29.7cm x 21cm portrait:

A telephone consultation would take place to discuss and arrange what elements you would like to include in your book. It's likely that your images will have been taken on your smartphone or device. Instructions would therefore be sent to you of how to send those images to us.

Once the images have been downloaded another telephone conversation would take place to talk about the images to arrange what you would like included and whether your book will include one or multiple holidays. A draft copy would be sent to you prior to the book being printed.

Even if your memories fade, your book won't
Life is precious and when a loved one leaves us this fact comes into greater focus.

At whatever age life comes to an end our human nature wants to celebrate that life and not forget times that were shared. Whether young or old, through short or long ill-health, there will be stories to shared and cherished forever.

Family Moments

Making those special times last forever
It probably doesn't need to be said, but 2020 has been a year that will be memorable - for many reasons. The year has had an impact on the way we live. We don't know what the long-term impact of 2020 will be, but in the UK from March onwards our lives shifted and the patterns that we were used to changed beyond recognition.

Like in other years before this one, our families have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, marriages, albeit in a restricted and unusual way.

In amongst this change in lifestyles  we have also found time to learn new skills across many creative and therapeutic pastimes. A 2020 personalised book would make an ideal keepsake for future generations to look back on as a period in time when the world changed.

  • 21cm x 21cm square:

Adoption LifeBooks

Your adoption journey captured in your own way
Whether you are child that has experienced the process of adoption or a parent that is going through the process, it's important to have something that reminds you of the journey. An Adoption book would ensure that that all important people were included and all important moments were documented, while making sure that information remains confidential.

In many cases adoption is more than just two parents and a child. Your book could include contributions from birth parents, siblings, grandparents and adoption professionals.

Yes, you could glue some pictures to some A4 paper. Yes, you could print a photobook. But would this do justice to the life-changing process that you have all experienced?

Available sizes:

  • 21cm x 21cm square:
    40 page I  44 page I  48 page I  52 page

Intervention Books

Viewing life through a lens of hope, rather than despair
Pblsh has plans to work with NHS Foundation Trusts nationally to assist service users on their mental health recovery journey.

It is well documented that stories can boost our feelings of trust, compassion and empathy. Likewise, reminiscence involves sharing thoughts, feelings and experiences to recall and reflect on important events in life.

Research has shown that for an individual, telling their story can in some instances lead to a re-discovery of self and serve too start the process of overcoming any historical suffering. Having a personalised book as a tangible product allows a service user to acknowledge difficult times and make positive changes for the future.
